Founder and President
David Marvin is a professional engineer and MBA whose career has encompassed construction, development, and operations management. He formed Legacy Property Group in 1995 and formed the subsidiary company, Legacy Hotel Partners, in 2012.
Marvin’s pioneering focus is to refresh Downtown Atlanta’s hospitality landscape. Legacy Property Group’s 321-room Embassy Suites was heralded as Downtown Atlanta’s first hotel development in 15 years when it opened in 1999. The company’s adaptive reuse of the historic Glenn building into the 110-room Glenn Hotel brought Atlanta its first boutique hotel. Legacy projects are known for attention to detail and their thoughtful blend of uses and brands.
Mr. Marvin holds an MS in Real Estate from MIT, a BS in Civil Engineering from the University of Vermont, and an MBA from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. His many civic activities include Central Atlanta Progress, Centennial Park District, Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce, Atlanta Hospitality Alliance, and the Atlanta Rotary Club.
